Doctor Who's Ncuti Gatwa spotted filming with new companion Varada Sethu
Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa has been spotted filming scenes with new companion Varada Sethu.
It was recently reported that Andor star Sethu would be joining the sci-fi show as the Doctor's next companion, with Millie Gibson apparently set to bow out as a full-time cast member after one season as The Doctor's current companion Ruby Sunday.
Amid the speculation, new production stills and footage have emerged of Gatwa and Sethu filming at Penarth Pier in Wales (via The Mirror).

In the pictures, the area is made up as a 1950s American cinema as the two stars are styled in classic Hollywood glamour. The cinema's featured showing The Harvest Bringer has also lost letters on its sign, to spell out the ominous word "Harbinger".
In footage shared on social media, Gatwa and Sethu are seen running around rubble on the ground, suggesting they are in grave danger.
Amid the rumours of Gibson's departure, Gatwa shared his support for his co-star on social media over the weekend with a picture of the pair together, writing: "My lil [Gemini sign] [heart emoji]".

Gatwa's first full series as the Doctor is set to air from May 2024, while Gibson's Ruby Sunday will reportedly continue as a recurring character in 2025 in the second series, as Sethu comes on board as the next companion.
The BBC has so far declined to comment on the reports.
Doctor Who's most-recent episode was Christmas special 'The Church on Ruby Road', which beat the final instalment of David Tennant's 60th anniversary specials in ratings after taking in 1.79 million viewers and overnights of 4.73 million streams on Christmas Day.
Doctor Who will return with new episodes in May 2024. The show airs on BBC One in the UK and Disney+ elsewhere.
