Dogs are officially good luck.

A pet parent in China claims that her golden retriever grabbed a scratch-off lottery ticket that turned out to be a winner, according to United Press International and Singapore outlet AsiaOne.

On Feb. 15, the woman — identified by just her surname, Lin — was shopping with her golden retriever when the pup broke free of its leash and ran into a lottery shop, per the outlets.

After following her pet into the store, Lin discovered that the canine had sunk its teeth into a scratch-off lottery ticket, UPI and AsiaOne reported. And, because the pet left tooth marks on the ticket, she was forced to purchase it.

Thankfully, however, the debacle turned out to be a fruitful one!

The golden retriever's selected ticket turned out to be a winner, and Lin walked away with a $139 prize, per UPI.

"I was so surprised. I've never won such a large sum of money in a lottery," Lin said of the incident, per AsiaOne.

Lin tested the golden retriever's luck the following day (on purpose this time!), taking the canine back to the same shop.

The pup selected another winner the second time. The second ticket had a smaller prize of just over $4, according to UPI.

Lin decided to walk with her winnings — and use the money to buy some treats and canned food for the pup, the outlets said.

Users on the Chinese social media platform Weibo congratulated Lin and her pup on the win, dubbing the golden retriever a "fortune dog" in comments translated by AsiaOne.

"I don't know if I should buy a lottery ticket or a golden retriever," one user wrote, while another joked that "the distance between me and the prize" is a dog.
