Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller will have a “Prison Break” reunion in hostage drama “Snatchback”
Purcell and his wife, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, will also serve as executive producers.
Prison Break stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell just can't escape each other.
The two are teaming up to star in a new series, Snatchback, which is currently in development at Universal TV, Entertainment Weekly can confirm.
According to a release from Universal TV announcing the news on Tuesday, the logline for the hostage drama series reads: "Inspired by the life of a real covert intelligence officer who is still active in the field today, the series follows a highly skilled privately contracted team of operatives as they recover hostages across the globe from some of the most exotic, and equally dangerous locations on the planet."
Scott Rosenbaum (The Shield, Chuck) will serve as writer and executive producer, while Purcell will also executive produce alongside his wife, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, and Dannah Axelrod Summers of HopeTown Entertainment.

Purcell and Miller previously starred as brothers Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield, respectively, in four seasons of Prison Break from 2006-2009; again in a TV movie, The Final Break; and once more in a revived fifth season in 2017. Plans for a sixth season never fully materialized. In the show, Purcell's character is a man who has been sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit, and Miller's character is the one who devises the titular prison break plot to get him out of prison in order to prove his innocence.

Although Prison Break was perhaps their best-known pairing, the two stars have actually performed together a number of times. For instance, they both appeared in CW Arrowverse series The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.

Reps for Miller and Purcell did not immediately return an EW request for comment.
