Two-time The International (TI) champions OG have finally unveiled their new roster for the 2021-2022 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season on Sunday (21 November), with three young pubstars taking up the core positions under the veteran leadership of support duo Tommy "Taiga" Le and Mikhail "Misha" Agatov.

OG's new core trio is comprised of 20-year old Ukrainian carry player Artem "Yuragi" Golubiev, 16-year old Bulgarian midlaner Bozhidar "bzm" Bogdanov, and 16-year old Jordanian offlaner Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf.

Prior to joining OG, Yuragi was a standout with Team Unique in Division II of the 2021 DPC's Eastern European regional league under the tag "spAce".

Meanwhile, both bzm, formerly known as "hansha", and ATF turned heads as members of the Western European Division II team Creepwave.

Meanwhile, Taiga joins OG after two years as the standout position 4 support player of Team Liquid while Misha joins the team's active roster as the position 5 after being its coach during The International 10 (TI10).

OG's massive roster revamp notably comes after a disappointing showing at TI10, where they got swept out of the tournament in 7th-8th place by eventual champions Team Spirit. The team's roster was emptied during the offseason as a result, starting with Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan and Martin "Saksa" Sazdov departing in early November.

Sébastien “Ceb” Debs then announced his retirement from professional Dota 2 while both Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen and Johan "N0tail" Sundstein announced they will be taking a break and skipping the 2021-2022 DPC season.

While N0tail will no longer be active as a player for the foreseeable future, he will notably remain with OG's new roster as their mentor.

OG said in a statement that their new roster, comprised primarily of young talent, is aimed at building "the next generation of Dota players".

The organisation does have a long history of scouting promising talent, with some of Dota 2's biggest stars such as Amer "Miracle" Al-Barkawi, Andreas "Cr1t-" Nielsen, Anathan "ana" Pham, and Topson, among others, having made themselves known as members of OG.

OG's new roster will be looking to prove themselves in Division I of the 2021-2022 DPC's Western European regional league against some of the best teams in the entire circuit. The 2021-2022 DPC season will be starting at the end of November and has been split into three Tours for the Fall, Winter, and Spring, with the regional leagues taking place from 29 November 2021 to 17 July 2022.

Some of the new-look OG's competition for the upcoming season in the Western European regional league will include a stacked Team Secret with SumaiL and Daryl Koh "iceiceice" Pei Xiang as well as Team Liquid with Lasse "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen and Ludwig "zai" Wåhlberg.

Other regions also feature some fearsome competition. In North America, Evil Geniuses were able to coax former OG star support Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka while Southeast Asia will see the rise of a Talon Esports lineup headlined by Tal "Fly" Aizik, Kim "Gabbi" Villafuerte, and Damien "kpii" Chok.

OG Dota 2 roster:

  1. Artem "Yuragi" Golubiev

  2. Bozhidar "bzm" Bogdanov

  3. Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf

  4. Tommy "Taiga" Le

  5. Mikhail "Misha" Agatov
