Drag Race spin-off series Canada's Drag Race: Canada vs the World has landed a BBC release date.

The second season of the show will see global Drag Race stars competing for the crown, including the UK's Cheryl and Le Fil.

The BBC has now confirmed that the season will premiere in the UK on Saturday, July 20 at 2am – in line with its Canadian debut – on iPlayer (one of the best UK streaming services of 2024), with each episode following weekly at the same time. Each episode will also be broadcast at 9pm that evening on BBC Three.

Alongside Cheryl and Le Fil, the cast will also include Canada's Drag Race stars Miss Fiercalicious, Lemon and Tynomi Banks, as well as Alexis Mateo, Eureka! and Kennedy Davenport from the US, plus France's La Kahena.

The returning judges include Brooke Lynn Hytes, Brad Goreski and Traci Melchor, while a number of big guest judges are being lined up, too.

A recent trailer unveiled Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna, singer Alessia Cara, comedian Samantha Bee, and previous winner Ra'Jah O'Hara all taking part.

Speaking previously about joining the series, Cheryl joked that "the UK has failed this diva so thank god I got a passport because here I am in Canada".

"I'm here to represent the past, present and future of British drag… Cheryl is everything quintessentially British – a dry sense of humour, a silly tit in a wig and a glamorous fashionista. See me down Bond Street, yes!" she added.

"People may underestimate me in these competitions because I haven't won a challenge – ever – but it's my moment. I've trained for years for this. These queens will think they're the frontrunners then bam bam - Chezzy's coming through swimming."

Canada's Drag Race: Canada vs. the World season two premieres internationally on WOW Presents Plus, or on Crave in Canada, on July 19, 2024 and in the UK on BBC iPlayer and BBC Three on July 20.

RuPaul's Drag Race UK airs on BBC Three in the UK and streams on WOW Presents Plus in the US.
