Drag Race UK confirms series 5 release date
RuPaul's Drag Race UK has confirmed its release date for the fifth series of the spinoff.
A sparkly new mini-trailer, posted to the official Drag Race UK Twitter account, has revealed that series five of the RuPaul-fronted drag competition will premiere on Thursday, September 28.
Series five's cast of ten queens – which includes the 'Beyoncé' of the UK drag scene – will battle it out to join the ranks of The Vivienne, Lawrence Chaney, Krystal Versace and Danny Beard, and snatch the title of the UK's Next Drag Superstar.

The season's mini-trailer shows the franchise's assembled glamazons ready for battle, with RuPaul herself giving us a 'British' accent and asking: "Y'alright babe? Are you ready to go again?"
Alongside various rhinestone-encrusted shenanigans, one contestant tells the camera that "for the BBC, it's not too appropriate," another is seen jumping into the splits, and a third is shown gliding across the Werk Room floor on Heelys.
RuPaul's deputy Michelle Visage even tells one lucky queen that an unseen runway look is "flawless" and judges Graham Norton and Alan Carr also make an appearance.

The cast of the new Drag Race UK series consists of Alexis Saint Pete, Banksie, Cara Melle, DeDeLicious, Ginger Johnson, Kate Butch, Michael Marouli, Miss Naomi Carter, Tomara Thomas and Vicki Vivacious.
The A-list guest judges of series five are also emphasised in the trailer. It was previously announced that stars like Yasmin Finney (Doctor Who, Heartstopper), Suranne Jones (Gentleman Jack, Doctor Foster) and Aisling Bea (This Way Up, Taskmaster) would be taking to the Main Stage to (supportively) read the queens.
Carol Vorderman and Alexandra Burke have also been name-dropped as other famous faces that will take part in the show's fan-favourite celebrity impersonation challenge, Snatch Game.
RuPaul's Drag Race UK airs on BBC Three in the UK and streams on WOW Presents Plus in the US. Series 5 will premiere on September 28.
