RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Alexis Saint-Pete has cleared up any confusion about her having a crush on judge Alan Carr.

The star made her debut on the reality show as the fifth series premiered last night (September 28), with the queen teasing in a clip that she had an obsession with the comedian.

The star clarified her comments in an interview with Metro, revealing that she had fond memories of Carr following her arrival in the UK from Poland at the age of 12.

"People think I fancy Alan Carr – it's none of that!" she began. "When I came to the UK, when I first discovered Alan's interview with Britney Spears, I didn’t understand anything that he was saying.

"I had to translate everything, so I've got that sentimental thing where I was learning the words and sticking to his words. He makes me so happy every time I look at him. There's nothing sexual or nothing flirtatious between us, he just makes me really happy."

Alexis's clarification came after the teaser trailer for the fifth series, in which she said: "I'm so excited to see Alan – I just have an obsession with [him]. You know when you have a favourite teddy bear from your childhood that you just want to always have around – that's Alan for me."

Whilst stars are lining up for the fifth series, Drag Race France's first champion Paloma is entering the world of Hollywood following her role in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. The star exclusively explained to Digital Spy how she got the part.

"It's quite a funny story because I have to confess I haven't seen The Walking Dead. It's not a show I knew," recalled Paloma. "One day my phone just rang and it was my agent who told me, 'They want to meet you for The Walking Dead.'

"There was no audition… The casting director told me, 'There is no one else in mind for the character. It's for you. I've been waiting for you.' So I passed the test. It was good for them."

RuPaul's Drag Race UK airs on BBC Three in the UK and streams on WOW Presents Plus in the US.
