Drag Race's Michelle Visage confirmed for new musical
RuPaul's Drag Race star Michelle Visage has joined the cast of The Addams Family musical for two concerts in the West End.
The star will take on the role of Morticia Addams in the production, which will play at the London Palladium on Monday, February 12 and Tuesday, February 13 next year.
Directed by Matthew White, the musical comedy is also set to star Holby City's Ramin Karimloo as Gomez Addams, while Birds of a Feather's Lesley Joseph will play the role of Grandma.

The synopsis reads: "Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and has a shocking secret that only Gomez knows; she’s fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family!
"Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before — keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s 'normal' boyfriend and his parents. All the usual clan are present - Uncle Fester, Lurch, Pugsley et al."
Visage is best known for being a judge on Drag Race, also helping to oversee the UK and Australian versions of the show.

Speaking recently to Digital Spy, the star revealed that she has been trying to pitch a radio show about hip-hop.
"I've been trying to pitch [a show about] old school hip-hop, ladies of hip-hop," she said. "People don't know that side of me, I grew up loving loving early hip-hop.
"I know we've got Romesh [Ranganathan] and DJ Spoony [presenting hip-hop shows], but I feel like Spoony, me and Romesh together would be fantastic."
RuPaul's Drag Race US airs on MTV in the US and WOW Presents Plus in the UK. RuPaul's Drag Race UK airs on BBC Three in the UK and streams on WOW Presents Plus in the US.
