Earthquake of 6 magnitude strikes off Clipperton Island: USGS

(Reuters) - An earthquake of 6.2 magnitude struck off Clipperton Island in the Pacific Ocean on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The quake struck 688 kilometres east southeast of the uninhabited island in the eastern Pacific Ocean off the coast of Central America.

There was no tsunami threat reported.
