Earthquake jolts islands off Japan's Izu peninsula, agency says

TOKYO (Reuters) - An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.1 hit a group of small islands off the coast of Japan's main island of Honshu, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.

The epicentre of the earthquake was off the coast of the Izu peninsula, the agency said, adding that a tsunami warning had not been issued.
