Earthquake of magnitude 6.2 strikes east of Northern Mariana Islands - USGS

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - An earthquake of magnitude 6.2 struck east of the Northern Mariana Islands in the Pacific Ocean on Friday, the United States Geological Survey said.

There was no immediate tsunami warning or report of damage or casualties from the quake, which hit at a depth of 23 km (14 miles) about 242 km (150 miles) east of the volcanic island of Pagan in the archipelago.
