EastEnders' Bobby Brazier updates fans on Freddie Slater return

EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier has given fans an update on when we might expect Freddie Slater to return to our screens.

Bobby left Albert Square in some dramatic scenes, which served to give the actor the time off to compete in the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing, where he finished as one of the runners-up alongside his partner Dianne Buswell.

He's current on the Strictly live tour, which finishes shortly before Valentine's Day. Once that's done, he should be back on the Square.

Sharing his excitement (via The Mirror), he said: "Yes I can't wait. It's soon, EastEnders, and I can't wait. I miss it."

Between finishing the show and starting the live tour, Bobby admitted that he was feeling directionless without Strictly to prepare for every day.

"I feel a bit lost. I miss Diane," he said at the time. "I'm eating ice cream for breakfast, I'm in no kind of physical place… I don't know what to do, what do I do? I fell in love over the course of the last couple of months with just telling the story.

"Whether it's the joyful story or the grief story, any kind of story, just the ability to express myself, with Dianne, through the means of a dance is so much fun. [I feel] immense joy and deep distress, but [I gained] memories that will last a lifetime."

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
