EastEnders confirms date for Lola's final episode

EastEnders has confirmed when Lola Pearce's final episode will air.
Lola has recently been told that she has only weeks to live, after learning that her palliative chemotherapy treatment hasn't had the desired effect.
New teaser spoilers have now seemingly confirmed that Lola will pass away on Wednesday, May 31 as Jay faces "the most difficult moment of his life".
At the start of the week, the focus will initially shift to Billy, who struggles to cope during his granddaughter's final days.
Billy's emotions eventually get the better of him, leading to dire consequences. Jay is also feeling the pressure as he learns about Ben's latest move. As the Walford residents rally round the family, Kim will stage a beautiful surprise for Lola.
Lola's loved ones are soon having to brace themselves for what is to come, and the brief synopsis for Wednesday's episode suggests that Lola's final day arrives.
Meanwhile, George Knight will arrive in Walford at the end of the week in question, with his daughters Gina and Anna in tow.
Earlier this month, fans were re-introduced to Elaine Peacock, the new co-owner of The Queen Vic.
Elaine is now played by Harriet Thorpe, having taken over the role from Maria Friedman, who appeared on and off between 2014 and 2017.
But we already know that Elaine won't be alone in Walford for long, with the Knights hot on her heels.
George is played by Doctor Who's Colin Salmon, while Gina is played by Francesca Henry and Anna by Strictly Come Dancing's Molly Rainford.

Thursday, June 1
George Knight arrives in Walford with his daughters Gina and Anna, and their presence is immediately felt at The Vic. The Knight girls immediately catch the attention of one Walford resident, and Ben has to face the consequences of his actions.
