EastEnders confirms Karen return in first look at Sharon scrap

EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders has confirmed Karen Taylor's return in first-look photos.

Former cast member Lorraine Stanley returns to Walford in Thursday's (June 13) episode on BBC One, and streaming on BBC iPlayer, for an emotional episode centering around Keanu Taylor's funeral.

Karen is back in Walford to bury her son, but not before she has it out with Keanu's ex-girlfriend Sharon Watts in the Queen Vic.

The heated confrontation between Sharon and Karen looks like it could turn physical, forcing Kat Slater and Sonia Fowler to step in between the two women.

Karen has long suspected Sharon played some part in her son Keanu's death but doesn't have any proof as of yet.

Sharon and her fellow members of The Six successfully managed to pin Keanu's murder on the evil abuser Dean Wicks earlier this year.

While it has been relatively quiet for Sharon and her friends since Dean's arrest, EastEnders cast member Kellie Bright recently hinted there will be major developments for The Six ahead.

"If Linda falls, all of the other women fall with her," Bright teased.

"I honestly don't think that Linda will ever truly find peace for killing Keanu whilst it remains a secret, but I think the guilt of taking the other women down with her would be too much for Linda to bear."

Lorraine Stanley exited as Karen Taylor late last year but has returned for a few guest stints over the last few months. She has also lined up multiple other projects, including the film Departures with Hollyoaks' David Tag and a panto stint in Dick Whittington later this year.

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
