EastEnders lines up fire storyline for Kathy Beale's cafe
EastEnders spoilers follow.
Kathy Beale's iconic café could be destroyed in an explosive EastEnders twist.
According to The Sun, some Walford residents' lives could be on the line when a blaze ignites the Walford landmark — and there are already indications it may not be an accident.
Filming on these shocking scenes has reportedly just taken place and will be transmitted at some point this autumn.
An EastEnders spokesperson has declined to comment to Digital Spy.

The café has been a staple of the BBC One soap since its earliest days, having originally been run by Ali and Sue Osman and later being owned by Phil Mitchell.
The Beales have run the café at various points throughout the life of the soap, with Ian Beale most recently buying it from rival Phil back in 2012. The café was renamed Kathy's when Kathy Beale started working there again in 2016.
The business has once again been in trouble in Ian's absence, as Kathy has been forced to consider selling the café to pay off Rocky Cotton's vengeful ex-wife Jo.
Peter Beale arrived back in Walford this week with a plan to save the café, with Ian and Cindy Beale to follow in a dramatic week of episodes starting on Monday.
This bombshell storyline comes ahead of the payoff of the Christmas flashforward cliff-hanger, where a dead body was shown turning up in the Vic.
Kathy was of one six Walford women seen in the flashforward, though it's not clear yet whether or not the fire at her café will tie in with the events at Christmas.
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
