EastEnders' Martin confronts Theo over suspicious behaviour

EastEnders' Theo Hawthorne has continued to act suspiciously after being confronted by Martin Fowler who questioned the teacher's motives in helping Lily.
Fans of the soap will know that Freddie Slater's former teacher Theo has grown close to the Slater family in recent weeks, paying particular interest to Lily.
Beginning with the family conference group, tonight's (July 4) episode saw Lily, Ricky, their families and social workers meet to discuss the baby's needs.
Attempting to help her daughter out after she was signed off from school due to high blood pressure, Stacey arranged a meeting with Theo who offered to tutor Lily while she is off, starting that afternoon.

Suspicious about his reasons, Martin questioned Stacey on why Theo was willing to tutor Lily in his free time saying: "He's basically doing it for free? Why would he do that? Why would he give up his free time for nothing?"
As Theo left the impromptu tutoring session, Martin confronted the teacher who revealed that Lily is the only student he tutors.
"I don't really understand why you're doing this for Lil," Martin asked as Theo drove off leaving Martin even more suspicious that Theo is hiding things.

Elsewhere, Patrick arrived home to discover that Kim is in prison and Denise's marriage is hanging by a thread. Later, when Jack pulled some strings to get Denise a visit with Kim in prison, she visited her broken sister and left the prison feeling more distraught.
Meanwhile, Whitney prepared to throw a moving party for Zack but a distracted Chelsea who had received a letter from Gray was offered a shoulder to cry on by Ravi.
Finally, after putting her wedding plans on pause Elaine made the decision to be fairy godmother to Walford's other brides Kathy, Sharon and Kat.
