The BBC soap took home six awards at the ceremony on Monday (September 25) — including the big one, Best Soap. Bowden himself also took home a trophy: Soap Superstar of the Year.
Taking to Instagram, the actor shared a series of pics from the ceremony and thanked fans, writing: "I am so totally grateful to everyone who voted for us at the Inside Soap Awards last night. And am so thankful for voting for me as 'Soap Superstar' !?! You lot are mental!"
He then went on to pay tribute to his co-stars Danielle Harold and Jamie Borthwick, praising them for keeping him going over the past four years.
"To win as a three last night was so special and filled my heart with such love," Bowden wrote.
Harold and Borthwick took home Best Actress and Best Actor for their roles as Lola Pearce-Brown and Jay Brown, respectively, with Lola's tragic death winning Best Storyline.
Speaking about his other co-star Tony Clay, who plays Callum Highway on the soap, Bowden wrote: "One superstar who pulls all three of us through the trenches is my brother and co-pilot @tonyclay1 you are the best of us all my bro and we love you loads and all plaudits go to you as much as anybody else."
Bowden concluded his post by writing: "Eastenders, I'm so proud to work for you. Thank you for always daring to be brave, whilst still so compassionate. Love guys, and thank you SO much. P.S couldn't be prouder of Isabella Brown, you angel!"
Isabella Brown, who plays Lexi Pearce on EastEnders, was named Best Young Performer at the Inside Soap Awards.
