EastEnders reveals first look at Freddie and Big Mo's spinoff series

EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders has unveiled a first look at Freddie Slater and Big Mo's new web spinoff series.

The BBC soap confirmed earlier this year that the pair will star in a digital series on TikTok ahead of their return to the main show next week, with the spinoff showing them travelling in Mo's caravan.

The broadcaster has now shared a first still from the series, titled 'The Point of Mo Return', with a sweet smiling picture of Freddie and Mo outside the caravan. The spinoff makes its debut today (May 17), with six episodes available on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.

The series showcases "Freddie’s close bond with Mo as he tests her patience with various pranks and social media challenges over the course of his stay".

It also gives fans "a glimpse into Freddie’s experience with ADHD as he attempts to educate his nan and his followers on his diagnosis".

Speaking earlier this month about the spinoff, Freddie actor Bobby Brazier revealed on The One Show: "I was acting like the camera was a phone. I was getting all up and close and pressing play."

He further explained: "I guess it's an insight into Freddy and Mo living together in a caravan, and I'm playing pranks on her and just doing the kind of silly stuff that Freddy would do with his great-grandmother. It was funny. It was a really funny day."

Bobby's return comes after the actor took a break from the soap to compete in Strictly Come Dancing last year, while Laila Morse last appeared as Big Mo in 2022 for Kat and Phil's first wedding.

"I’m delighted to be coming home to Walford to bring Mo back to life," Laila said earlier this year of her comeback.

"EastEnders holds such a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to be reunited with my on-screen family, who are like my family, as well as old and new faces."

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
