EastEnders to revisit Kat Mitchell's past in Lily baby story

EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders will revisit Kat Mitchell's past as Lily Slater struggles with motherhood.

Earlier this month, Lily gave birth to a baby girl named Charli during a tense episode that saw Lily's mum Stacey held captive by her stalker Theo Hawthorne.

In recent weeks, Lily has struggled to get used to her new life and, in scenes set to air next week on BBC One, things get too much for Lily at a Slater family dinner at Kat and Phil's place.

When Lily loses her temper with a crying Charli, the young mother has a full-blown meltdown and, after questioning her ability to be a good mum to her baby, Lily storms out of the room.

Reminded of her own experience of having a child when she was young, Kat rushes after Lily to share her experience of having Zoe. Speaking to Kat, Lily says she is worried she's too young to be a mum but Kat reassures Lily that with her mum Stacey by her side she will make a great mum too.

With the pressures mounting and everything becoming too much, Lily isn't convinced following the heart-to-heart with Kat.

Previously speaking about the ongoing stalker plot, Stacey Slater actress Lacey Turner teased an end to the storyline.

"There's a turning point coming up where [Stacey] finds fire in her belly to be angry and decides she is not going to be a victim," she teased. "She did what she had to do to keep her family afloat, but is absolutely raging with Theo at this point and in her mind she is going to take him down!

"So you think Theo is gone, then he appears again and we kind of replay a story we've already done which ends slightly differently, and with a few more people involved. Hopefully, this is the end of Theo Hawthorne!"

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
