EastEnders is set to air scenes showing Yolande Trueman reporting Pastor Clayton for sexual assault.

In first-look images from Thursday's (June 20) episode, Yolande makes the brave decision after attending Jordan's baptism.

Despite being the baby's godmother, Yolande was unsure about whether to go as Pastor Clayton, who sexually assaulted her back in April, would be taking the service.

She resolves to go with her husband Patrick, but when the pastor puts his arm around her waist during a group photo, she realises she needs to report his crime to the police.

In new images, Yolande is seen waiting at the police station and then giving her statement to a police officer.

An emotional conversation Yolande has with Bernie Taylor earlier in the episode is pivotal in prompting Yolande to report Pastor Clayton for assault.

Bernie had originally decided not to attend the baptism as she was still reeling from Keanu's funeral, but changed her mind after a comment from Jean.

As for Yolande, she previously opened up on her horrific assault to her husband Patrick and member of the church Levi, who promised to investigate.

However, when Yolande and Patrick returned from holiday last week, they discovered that Levi had left Walford, with Yolande forced to take matters into her own hands.

Will Pastor Clayton pay for his actions?

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
