EastEnders spoilers: Shock death revealed, Ben hits Kathy and confesses to Kheerat
Mitch’s brother Avery passes away on EastEnders next week, plus Ben hits a new low when he resorts to violence.

Ben punches Kathy
Kathy is seen on Monday suggesting to Ben that he see a specialist who can help him. But Ben spurns the advice and instead continues to stoke tensions between himself and Rocky.

Rocky, though, is fed up of the way Ben is treating Kathy and delivers some harsh home truths. But the situation soon gets out of hand when Ben goes to punch Rocky, only to end up accidentally striking Kathy instead.
The truth about Jags’s death is finally revealed
In the wake of his inadvertent assault on his own mum, Ben descends further into emotional torment, but seeks solace with a flirty customer by the name of James, with whom he ends up taking drugs and kissing.
The morning after the night before, Ben is found by Kheerat asleep in the Arches, but dismisses his friend’s concerns. But when Kheerat shares some sentimental words about their friendship, the guilt starts to gnaw away at Ben, who ends up admitting to the Panesars that he’s responsible for Jags’s death because he stopped his protection in prison.
How will the family react to the news that Ben is the reason Jags died?
Mitch’s brother Avery dies
Avery has a plan to visit a restaurant that he and his brother used to eat at when they were younger, but Mitch knows that his sibling is too weak and doesn’t have long left, and so comes up with another scheme.
Instead, Mitch throws Avery a Caribbean-themed party at the launderette with Tara at the helm. But as the brothers reminisce, Avery sadly passes away.
The next day, Mitch takes Finlay and Felix to Walford East, where they discuss some expensive funeral plans. But later on, in the Queen Vic, Karen gives Mitch a letter she’s found from Avery that contains a shocking surprise. And when Mitch breaks the news to Felix and Finlay, the pair reel and are left in denial…
Howie’s new job
Howie is gutted that a lucrative job has been cancelled and lets slip to Kim that he’s also now also been evicted from his flat. So her suggestion is that he now moves in with her permanently.
The two of them also overhear Dana and Bobby arguing, with the fallout resulting in Dana quitting. And so, seizing the opportunity, Kim offers Howie’s services to Kathy. But Howie merely ends up adding to Kathy’s frustrations when he struggles in his new role as bartender at the Albert.
Jay and Lola get close again
Jay accepts an invitation from Lola to go to Peggy’s for a drink. And thinking Honey won’t want to go, Jay is then surprised when she says she’s up for it too. But when Honey subsequently falls asleep on the sofa, Jay decides to head out alone.
At the club, Lola and Frankie will be seen winding Jay up about his relationship with Honey. And when Jay later returns home in an extremely drunken state, his girlfriend is less than impressed. Could this be the start of friction between them?
