EastEnders star Gillian Taylforth promises Nish Panesar comeuppance

Gillian Taylforth has promised that Nish Panesar will face consequences for nicking Kathy Beale and Rocky Cotton's honeymoon in EastEnders.
The Kathy Beale actress has addressed a cliffhanger from earlier in the week where Rocky bet the couple's honeymoon trip to Greece in a losing round of poker to Nish.
Nish's scheming has sent him rocketing up the list of suspects to die in the Christmas flashforward, and while Taylforth has promised he'll face his comeuppance, she cast doubt on some theories.

"I don't think it could be linked to [Christmas]. But karma is a great thing," she said. "And he does get a comeuppance for that, anyway, for stealing my honeymoon. Don't worry about that."
Taylforth added: "I can't say much more than that."
It's understandable why fans may have suspected Nish sealed his fate with his latest scheme, since Kathy Beatle is one of the six women featured in the Christmas flashforward.
The mystery dead man was also wearing Nish's cufflinks, though Nish actually lost them in the poker game. The cuffs were one of the only items Rocky walked away with, before giving them away to Jack Branning.
Nish actor Navin Chowdhry has encouraged EastEnders fans to continue to monitor where the cufflinks end up as the hints about Christmas start to feed into the show.
"I am aware that Nish is the number one contender to die at Christmas," he recently told The Mirror. "I think the main clue is to follow the cufflinks. There's some stuff we filmed recently about the cufflinks so look out for that and follow the cufflinks."
Rocky will have to come to clean to Kathy about losing their honeymoon on their wedding day next week, likely putting a damper on this major life event for the pair.
