EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick shares new addition to family

EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick has welcomed a new addition to his family, as the actor has become an uncle.
The star, who plays Jay Brown on the BBC soap, took to Instagram to reveal that his sister had given birth to a baby girl, with the actor posting a photo as he held his niece.
“She don’t know how lucky she is I’m her uncle!” wrote Borthwick in the caption. “Nahh I don’t know how lucky I am she’s my Niece ❤️ welcome to the family RSC! We’re gonna have some laughs kid I tell ya! 🥰🥰🥰”

The actor received plenty of warm messages in the comments, with co-star Tony Clay writing: “Uncle Jamie! Congrats to you & the family brother! x.” Heather Peace, who plays Eve Unwin on the show, also commented, writing: “Congrats Uncle :) Just beautiful.”
Borthwick’s recent scenes on the soap have seen Jay attempt to come to terms with the passing of Lola, with his recovery being confused by the arrival of the mysterious Nadine, who happens to bear a resemblance to his late wife.
Elsewhere on the soap, Suki Panesar and Denise Fox have teamed up in the hope of Ravi Gulati facing justice, with the pair attempting to have him pay for the crime of murdering his father, Ranvir.
Amidst the tense storyline, actor Balvinder Sopal spoke about the impact that the developments will have on Suki, with her complex relationship with Ravi leading to mixed emotions.

“It's such a complex relationship because Suki's connection with Ravi from day one is that he helped her cover up the murder,” she said. “Ravi saved her from going down, but Kheerat got caught in the crossfire.
“At this moment, the trust is broken, and I think she can't quite believe that he has done this so the deep betrayal really sticks in her stomach, and it is making her do things she might not want to do.”
