"She's lucky that she's got a lot of people around her so that she can go out at night to do office cleaning jobs," Turner said.

"She's got Martin, Eve, Jean, Alfie, Freddie, and all these people to help with the children. So she's lucky in that sense, but I think, like any person, it’s hard to juggle two jobs, three children, school, food, et cetera.

"She's struggling but somehow manages, but I think that's down to her good support network."

Turner continued: "She's not a quitter, so she'll keep trying and keep going until she physically can't do anymore. I think for her, as long as her kids have eaten, they're warm and they're clothed, then she's happy and everything else doesn't really matter.

"She'd go to whatever lengths she’d have to go to protect them."

This won't be the only challenge coming Stacey's way this year, as the Slaters are set to have a busy time at Christmas following the events of the flashforward scene.

Executive producer Chris Clenshaw recently teased the events, saying it would be a "big" year for the family.

"Stacey is currently trying to protect her family and she is really finding the cost-of-living crisis quite difficult, as well as coming to terms with the fact her 12-year old daughter is pregnant," he said.

"This year, we will see Stacey do something that she has not done before and go to quite extreme lengths to protect her family."

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
