Edison Chen denies dumping girlfriend
3 Oct – Despite the media frenzy surrounding the rumours of a break-up, singer Edison Chen stressed that everything is fine between him and his current girlfriend Vincy Yeung, according to a report on Sina.com.hk website.
The 30-year-old waved his bracelet that 'symbolizes their love' in front of reporters, who confronted him with the rumours that his girlfriend of five years was upset over Chen's encounter with his ex Cecilia Cheung on an airplane earlier this year.
"We are very happy together!" he said, adding that the pair would be celebrating his 31st birthday a few days in advance, as he has to attend a meeting overseas on his big day (7 October).
He also quipped that he makes time every month to be with Yeung and does not let his hectic lifestyle and business get in the way of his relationship.
However, no plans of marriage is expected of the pair anytime soon as Chen is said to be making a comeback by releasing three albums and is also hoping to star in a movie next year.
"I'm too busy, but we are like a married couple now because we are happy everyday," he said.
Chen refused to comment when asked of his ex Cecilia Cheung and her highly publicized divorce with Nicholas Tse, adding only that he has been too busy with his career to keep up with the proceedings.
