Elle Fanning will narrate the audiobook for Rufi Thorpe's 'Margo's Got Money Troubles'

Ahead of the hotly anticipated release of Rufi Thorpe's new novel Margo's Got Money Troubles, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal that Elle Fanning will be narrating the audiobook, set to release with the novel on June 11.

Fanning, 26, is best known for her acting roles in The Great and The Girl From Plainville and runs the production company Lewellen Pictures with her sister and fellow actress Dakota Fanning.

In April, it was announced that Lewellen Pictures will be set to executively produce the book’s TV adaptation alongside Nicole Kidman’s production company and A24. The adaptation will stream on AppleTV+ with David E. Kelley in talks to co-write the series.

The novel follows the story of Margo Millet, the daughter of a former Hooters waitress and an ex-pro wrestler, who embarks on a journey as a single mom when she becomes pregnant after a brief affair with her English professor. Listen to an exclusive excerpt, here.

Margo moves in with her estranged father Jinx after struggling to make ends meet. After starting an OnlyFans as an experiment, it turns into an overnight a success thanks, in part, to her father's wrestling advice.

According to a press release on the upcoming novel, Margo's Got Money Troubles is a “a playful and honest examination of the art of storytelling and controlling your own narrative, and an empowering portrait of coming into your own, both online and off.”

PEOPLE previously shared an exclusive excerpt from the upcoming novel, as well.

Margo's Got Money Troubles will be out on June 11, and is available for preorder now, wherever books are sold.
