Elva Hsiao denies rumours of secret marriage

2 Feb – Elva Hsiao's manager has recently dismissed rumours of a secret wedding between the Taiwanese singer and boyfriend Elroy Cheo.

According to UDN News, rumours of the couple's secret marriage sparked recently, when a friend of Elroy's thanked him on Instagram for sending him flowers for his wedding, with the words, "Thank you @elroxcheo and Wifey".

Netizens who read the message believed that the "wifey" word referred to Elva, and speculated that the couple is already married or soon to be wed.

However, according to her manager, the singer has not secretly married Elroy, as she is not the kind of person who would rush such a thing.

Nonetheless, the manager will not deny the possibility of Elva tying the knot this year, saying that the families of both parties have already recognised the relationship.

Elroy is the brother of Singaporean heiress Arissa Cheo, who is married to Taiwanese entertainer Vanness Wu. The couple reportedly met at the wedding.
