Emily Blunt praises Taylor Swift for helping her kid: ‘The best thing anyone has done for my child’

"She was so nice to my kids,” the “Fall Guy” actress recalled.

Emily Blunt remains enchanted by Taylor Swift.

The Oppenheimer actress appeared on Monday’s episode of SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show to discuss her role in The Fall Guy, and discussed a brief encounter with the “Fortnight” singer. Blunt said that Swift is “the nicest,” explaining how the musician made her eldest child Hazel feel gorgeous at a moment when her confidence may have been delicate.

"She was so nice to my kids,” Blunt said. “My oldest kid has just cut all of her hair off, this very short haircut that she was very self-conscious about. And Taylor Swift goes, ‘God, look at you, you're just this ‘60s Beatnik cool kid. I love your style.'"

"I thought my child was going to faint," Blunt continued. "It was the best thing anyone has done for my child."

Elsewhere in the interview, Blunt discussed how her reputation affects her children. “They get very protective,” she said. “They don’t like it when people come up to me. They don’t like it because people’s energies can be quite intense. There was this really sweet moment where my eldest daughter, we were walking home from school, it was a few years ago, and these girls came up to us, and they were kind of excited. I think they liked The Devil Wears Prada, they were quoting it to me. We got home, and we walked past the lady who works at the door of our building, Taniq, who’s amazing.”

“We get in the elevator, and Hazel was just watching that reaction people had, and then she started thinking about how people in our life react to me, and she goes, ‘Do you think Taniq knows that you’re Emily Blunt?’” the actress continued. “And I said, ‘I think she does.’ And she went, ‘Mhmm… do you think —” and she mentioned our dentist, she mentioned the guy who does my hair… and then I realized it’s because they’re so normal around me that she thought they didn’t know. And that was just so sweet, it killed me.”
