How “Emily in Paris ”Star Lucien Laviscount Balances Work and Workouts: 'It’s Important to Give Myself Grace'

The actor shared how he keeps a ‘balance’ between his work schedule and maintaining his impressive physique

Lucien Laviscount — who plays Alfie, a businessman with a penchant for sharp suits and even sharper abs — on Netflix’s hit Emily in Paris, says when it comes to work and working out, he keeps things in perspective.

“The key for me is balance, balance in everything,” Laviscount, 31, told Us Weekly. “I’d say my lifestyle in general is healthy, I love keeping active and getting out there trying new things.”

Laviscount, who’s been known to show off his six pack — and then some — on Instagram, shared that his hectic work schedule can get in the way of his fitness routine.

“It’s difficult with work commitments and traveling to always be eating right and having that structure to be as disciplined as I would like,” Laviscount, who recently partnered with Smirnoff ICE SURPR-ICE, told the outlet. “So it’s important to give myself grace and enjoy the journey.”

Laviscount’s definitely been busy. Along with filming the hotly anticipated fourth season of Emily in Paris, he's added supernatural creatures to his resumé.

The Scream Queens alum recently appeared as a werewolf in Calvin Harris’s music video for his newest Rag'n'Bone Man collaboration "Lovers in a Past Life."

He also joined Shakira and Cardi B for their music video  "Puntería," playing a sexy, shirtless centaur.

He returns to human form this summer when the first half of Emily in Pariss fourth season is slated to premiere. The hotly anticipated rom-com will drop on Netflix on Aug. 15, followed by the second half on Sept. 12.

And based on what  Camille Razat, who plays Camille, said, expect things to get "messy" this season.

It’s going to be a "chaotic" and "heartbreaking" season, Laviscount added, leading some to question what that may mean for his character, Alfie, and Lily Collins’ Emily. For Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, who plays Sylvie, "This season sums up to one word: revenge."

It's still not clear what’s in store for Alfie this season, but Laviscount tells Us Weekly, “I’ve loved playing [Alfie] for three seasons now.”

“I feel so grateful to have been able to bring Alfie to life on screen.”
