Emma Roberts Reteaming With Stampede Ventures On Showbiz Thriller ‘Fourth Wall’
EXCLUSIVE: Emma Roberts (American Horror Story) is set to reteam with Stampede Ventures on Fourth Wall, a thriller that Alexis Ostrander (Servant) is directing from a script by Jerry Kontogiorgis, in her feature debut.
The project is Roberts’ second with the global media company on the heels of Space Cadet, a rom-com for Amazon MGM Studios, which will premiere globally on Prime Video this Fourth of July.

The film centers on a former child star (Roberts) from a popular ’90s television show who is kidnapped and wakes up in a complete recreation of the show’s set with the rest of the cast. As she’s forced to re-immerse herself in the iconic role she’s been trying to get away from her entire career, she must recreate the series’ most memorable moments to stay alive.
Roberts was a natural fit for the project, as an actress who’s been working since the age of nine.
Greg Silverman will produce the film for Stampede Ventures. Exec producers will include Jon Berg, Gideon Yu, Chris Bosco, Mike Tadross, and Grant Torre for Stampede Ventures, as well as Rodney Ascher, Lee Stobby, and Kontogiorgis. Sacker Entertainment Law is overseeing production legal.
Said Stampede VP of Film Torre in a statement to Deadline, “From the moment I read Jerry’s script, I knew we’d have an instantly iconic film on our hands that speaks to our popular culture in such a unique, entertaining way. With all of her experience, Emma is the dream to lead this film that explores fame and the cost of growing up in front of the camera.”
Explaining that Fourth Wall will mark Ostrander’s second collaboration with Stampede’s Greg Silverman, after being selected as one of five directors participating in the inaugural Warner Bros. Emerging Film Directors Workshop, he added, “I haven’t been able to get this story out of my head from the moment I read it, and I can’t wait for the world to see what Alexis creates in her feature debut.”
Most recently seen starring opposite Kim Kardashian in the 12th season of FX’s American Horror Story, Roberts will, in addition to Space Cadet, next be seen starring opposite Tom Ellis on the Hulu series Second Wife. She also serves as an EP on the Netflix series, Calabasas, as well as the second season of Hulu’s Tell Me Lies, both under her Belletrist TV banner.
A veteran on the TV side, who has directed on everything from Apple TV+’s Servant to AMC+’s Interview with the Vampire and Amazon’s The Consultant, Ostrander was Daytime Emmy-nominated for her work on Hulu’s Light as a Feather.
Coming off the release of its faith-based Lionsgate drama Ordinary Angels starring Hilary Swank and Alan Ritchson, Stampede Ventures is currently in production on Anderson .Paak’s directorial debut, K-POPS!, as well as the Emma Thompson starrer The Fisherwoman. At the same time, the company is prepping Motor City, starring Alan Ritchson, Shailene Woodley, Ben Foster, and Pablo Schreiber, and the YA romance Chasing Red.
