Emmerdale confirms Alex Moore's fate after Charles arrest

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale has revealed that Alex Moore is very much alive following last week's hit-and-run.

Alex's attempt to flee his robbery at the pharmacy ultimately had dire consequences on several people in his life, when he was stuck by a car fleeing across the road.

While the police have arrested Charles Anderson for hit-and-run, viewers know that Billy Fletcher actually ran down Alex by accident.

In Monday's (April 4) episode, Naomi revealed to her father that she'd discovered the truth from Clare about Alex robbing the pharmacy for drug money.

The vicar tried to comfort his daughter but didn't have much time before he was hauled back to the police station for more intense interrogation.

When DS Raveley threatened Charles with a murder charge if Alex died, the vicar exploded with anger in an outburst that he instantly realised would hurt his case. Charles was ultimately released under caution, and when he got back to the village, he headed straight to the church to seek guidance.

A guilt-ridden Billy approached Charles in the pews to confess that he'd been the one to accidentally run down Alex. Billy explained that he'd fled the scene because he worried how it would affect custody of Clemmie and Lucas.

Even though Billy was determined to hand himself in, an understanding Charles encouraged him to wait and see if the case would fall apart.

The soap then cut to Alex in hospital with his eyes now slowly fluttering, signalling that he was very much alive.

Will Alex implicate Billy in the hit-and-run now that he is waking up?
