Emmerdale confirms divorce story for Paddy and Chas Dingle

Emmerdale's Paddy Dingle surprises his estranged wife Chas with a final rejection next week.
Recent spoilers teased a possible reunion for the pair, who hit the rocks in December last year as Chas' affair with Al Chapman was exposed.
As previously revealed, this week's episodes see Paddy share a kiss with Chas while spending time with her and their young daughter Eve at The Woolpack.

Paddy and Chas spring apart when Eve interrupts by shouting them from upstairs. However, Chas later makes it clear to Paddy that she wants another chance to make their marriage work.
While the full details of the aftermath are being kept under wraps for now, new spoilers for next week have confirmed that it's not good news for Paddy and Chas' future.
Early next week, Chas is surprised when Paddy tells her that he has already been in touch with a solicitor about their divorce.
Paddy defends his decision by insisting that there's no use in prolonging things.

Paddy asks Chas whether she'd like to make a joint divorce application, but how will she respond?
Meanwhile, Lisa Riley – who plays Paddy's ex-wife Mandy – recently spoke about the possibility of her character reuniting with the village vet in the long-run.
Lisa told Inside Soap: "She just wants Paddy. But she's so frightened of getting hurt. We've got to play it out because Paddy's poorly.
"It's what the audience wants, but Paddy has to get well. Mandy knows him getting well is the better ending.
"You can't give the audience that too quickly. Otherwise, it's just like 'And then what?'"
