Emmerdale sees Eric Pollard reject Manpreet and Jacob's support

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale has aired emotional scenes as Eric Pollard continued to reject support for his Parkinson's diagnosis.

Eric was diagnosed with the neurological condition in scenes which aired earlier this month, previously pushing his loved ones away as he tried to keep his condition a secret from friends and family out of pride.

In tonight's (November 24) episode, Eric once again rejected support after Jacob suggested he join a Parkinson's support group.

Jacob checked in with his grandad while he was working, with Eric quickly brushing off his suggestion of attending a group.

"You play with the cards you're dealt with, so stop worrying about me," he said, as Manpreet jumped in with support for Jacob's idea.

However, Eric was adamant that a group wouldn't be beneficial for him, adding that he just wanted to "get on with life".

Jacob vented his concern to Brenda, who recommended they create a supporters of Eric Pollard group to help him manage living with the condition.

Later on in the cafe, Manpreet watched as Eric rejected the offer of a game of golf with Rodney, insisting he was too busy.

Sensing an opportunity to broach the topic of the support group again, Manpreet then suggested the pair play golf together and offered to check in with him over his health.

"I understand that support groups aren't for everyone," she said. "But what's the harm in you and me having a little chat every now and again."

Will Eric consider Manpreet's offer?

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
