Emmerdale star Eden Taylor-Draper confirms huge story ahead for Belle

Emmerdale star Eden Taylor-Draper has confirmed there is a huge storyline on the horizon for Belle Dingle.
The character is currently preparing for her wedding with Tom King, but his controlling behaviour has thrown some uncertainty on the big day as Belle has begun to harbour doubts.
Taylor-Draper, who has played Belle since 2005, spoke with the press ahead of the upcoming scenes, teasing that her character could face some more drama later in the year.

"Belle is just so in love and of course on paper Tom is such a dream man and her whole family love him too," she said. "He's a vet, he's great, he's charismatic and they do in the main have such a lovely relationship."
"Of course there have been a few things that we have seen. We have witnessed his controlling behaviour but I think Belle herself is just turning a blind eye to all that at the moment under the assumption he's just doing it all out of love," she continued.
"The vows are very heartfelt from both sides. They both love each other, and the wedding vows are said with emotion. It's all lovely and she is so grateful. But then afterwards, a lot happens at the reception. I won't say what, but that does change things a bit.

"She can tell he's getting annoyed about little things. I think she is just saying to herself it is fine and then right at the end of the day something happens that just makes her think, 'Have I done the right thing? Is this the right man for me?'
"I think it is going to be a really fun and big year. It will be challenging but I feel ready for that challenge. And Belle has no idea what is coming," she added.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
