Emmerdale star Jessie Elland has revealed an exciting new career move following her exit, confirming she will be publishing her first book.
The actress bowed out as Chloe Harris on the soap over Christmas, and has now announced that she has fulfilled a childhood dream by becoming a published author.

"My very first novel will be published by @baskervillejmp, in the UK & Commonwealth. This would absolutely not be possible without my amazing agent @ktgreenstreet and the entire team at @paperliterary.
"Life just continues to get more surreal; to have something you’ve dreamed about since you were six years old (swipe!) come to fruition is something beyond words. This one is a particularly special fig."
Many co-stars have sent their congratulations, with Lawrence Robb (Mackenzie Boyd) writing: "You’re incredible! Utterly incredible!!", while Eden Taylor-Draper (Belle Dingle) added: "So proud of you".

Described as "captivatingly dark", the novel follows a scullery drudge named Ann who desires to become a lady's maid.
“Ann can’t quite remember how or when she arrived at Ropner Hall," the synopsis reads (via The Bookseller). "She loathes spending her days toiling in the dank kitchen, so when a chance meeting with Lady Charlotte leads to the opportunity to become her personal maid, Ann is convinced she has finally escaped her own version of hell.
"But has she? As Ann’s experience above stairs takes a sinister twist, will it turn out that the terrors lurking there are worse than the devils she knows below?”

Jessie's Emmerdale storyline came to a conclusion on Boxing Day last year, wrapping up Chloe's love triangle plot with Mackenzie Boyd and Charity Dingle.
Speaking upon her exit, the actress said: "It's really difficult to articulate how much Emmerdale means to me and it was by no means an easy decision to leave such a wonderful place and such wonderful people.
"I'm going to miss it so much, but I feel unbelievably lucky to be coming away with amazing memories and friends for life."
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
