Emmerdale star Jurell Carter set to exit show

Emmerdale looks set to be losing another star in the coming months, with actor Jurell Carter reportedly due to be leaving his role as Nate Robinson.

The Sun has reported that Carter has quit the soap after five years playing Nate and that he will exit as part of a big storyline later this year, although the news has not been confirmed by the soap.

Emmerdale has told Digital Spy that it has no comment to make at this time, while Carter has also not commented.

Nate first arrived in the village in 2019 as a farmhand, before he quickly seduced Moira Dingle and enjoyed a passionate affair with her.

It soon transpired that Nate was actually Cain Dingle's secret son, and that Nate had come to the village with a plan to seek revenge on his dad for abandoning him and his mum, Cara.

After the pair faced off and Nate realised that Cain had genuinely never known of his existence, the father and son began to reconcile and Nate built a relationship with the Dingle family.

Nate later entered into a romance with Tracy Metcalfe and the couple welcomed daughter Frankie, before taking a break from their relationship after Nate had a one-night stand.

While the couple later got back together and married, their relationship was torn apart again after Tracy had an affair with Nate's uncle, Caleb Miligan.

Nate's rumoured exit would follow the departure of Ethan Anderson, who recently passed away after experiencing an aneurysm, and the upcoming exits of couple Nicky Miligan and Suni Sharma, who are currently making plans to leave the village.

Meanwhile, one actor who has teased that they may be doing the opposite and making a comeback to Emmerdale is Adam Thomas, who played Adam Barton on the soap from 2009 to 2018.

"I'd like to go back one day. It'll always hold a special place in my heart," the actor said in a recent interview. "I was a kid when I joined, so I had some amazing memories there and I'd love to go back one day."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
