Emmerdale star Roxy Shahidi discusses possible romance in Leyla's future
Emmerdale actress Roxy Shahidi has spoken about the potential for Leyla Harding to get a new love interest.
In the past, Leyla has been paired with David Metcalfe (who recently departed the village) and was more recently married to Dr Liam Cavanagh, but now she's got her options open.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other press, Roxy teased: "I personally think there's one relationship that should have lasted and I personally think they should revisit. I can't say who that is.

"It's funny because I did the Emmerdale tour the other day – you show everyone around the village and you do a little Q&A. I did four groups and everyone said the same thing: 'Oh, she should be with…' and I was like, 'I know!'
"I don't want her to be happy happy, because that's boring, do you know what I mean? I love the twists and turns. But I do think she needs another real love after the doctor.
"It was sad, the way it happened. They were so fun for so long and they got on so well. I think they provided a lot of enjoyable bits of comedy in between all the tragedy. And then it got really dark, really heavy. So I think a little bit of fun, but not too perfect and happy because then you've got no story."

Roxy also touched upon how she'd love for Leyla to have another wedding, even though most of them have been "awful", with one exception.
That exception is her marriage to Dr Cavanagh, with Bernice Blackstock and the dress.
"That was one of my favourite scenes, [Samantha Giles] stole that story. She was so good. She's such a clever, clever actress. I really enjoyed those scenes, she made me laugh so much."
