Emmerdale star Tony Audenshaw calls for Bob and Wendy future

Emmerdale star Tony Audenshaw has opened up about Bob Hope and Wendy Posner's future as a couple following Wendy's cheating scandal.
The on-screen couple have been on the rocks since Bob discovered that his partner Wendy was having an affair with Liam Cavanagh. After becoming fed up with Bob's cold behaviour Wendy walked out on him.
"Bob's very upset with Wendy. He's very hurt and really jealous," Audenshaw said of his character. "He hates Liam with a vengeance and blames it largely on Liam. He keeps getting wound up. We keep seeing angry Bob, which we see every few years.

Speaking of Bob and Wendy's future, Audenshaw said: "Bob wants to try and make it work, but he's finding it difficult because of the red mist, which keeps surfacing. He does want to at least give it a go, to see if they can make the relationship work.
"Bob's in a position where he has cheated in the past, so he's got to take it on the chin really and see if they can work through the trust issues. But it's easier said than done when it's somebody who you see every day, who's around the village," he added.
In upcoming scenes, Bob will have a heart attack following an explosive row with Liam - a dramatic moment which Audenshaw says he hopes will bring Bob and Wendy closer together.

"I do hope Bob and Wendy stay together, yes. I think you're going to see, over the next few weeks and months maybe, the relationship building coming out of the drama and upset. Obviously there was a problem there, quite a few problems that were tacit and not being spoken about.
"Hopefully this big dramatic moment means they're going to talk about the issues that they had and hopefully it might bring them closer."
