Emmerdale's Belle turns against Mandy after Tom's manipulation

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Belle King has turned against family member Mandy after Tom's manipulation in Emmerdale.

Wednesday's (May 15) episode saw Tom continuing to isolate Belle from her loved ones as part of his coercive control over every aspect of her life.

Tom has already secretly installed a tracker on Belle's phone and meddled in her friendship with Vinny Dingle, before last week resorting to burning his wife when she started secretly taking birth control.

The latest episode saw Tom trying to turn Belle against two of the people she loves most — Mandy and Paddy Dingle.

The latest trouble started when Tom decided to open a joint bank account for himself and Belle as a means to make her financially dependent on him.

"I'll take care of our money and you can concentrate on the pregnancy," he insisted.

He then managed to twist Belle's mind after Mandy gently encouraged her to wait a bit longer to have children with Tom since they'd just got married.

"She had no right making you feel like that. She knows how sensitive you are," Tom grumbled. "Like I said when we got married, we are our own little family now."

When they came face-to-face with Paddy and Mandy in the pub a bit later, Belle angrily hit out at Mandy for interfering in her life.

"Back off… This is our choice, mine and Tom's because we have a very strong marriage. Not that you'd know anything about that with your track record," Belle declared.
