Emmerdale's Bernice tries to kiss Bob Hope in new story

Emmerdale's Bernice Blackstock will make a dramatic move in upcoming scenes as she attempts to kiss her new business partner, Bob Hope.
Bernice (Samantha Giles) and Bob (Tony Audenshaw) went into business together at the B&B earlier this year and working together has so far come with its ups and downs, not least a shock death on the day of their grand re-opening.
In new scenes airing on the ITV soap next week, Bernice and Bob will begin to rekindle the friendship that they've lost under the pressure of working together as Bernice opens up to Bob over a drink.

When Bob tells Bernice that he's always considered her to be beautiful, the pair share a charged moment, before Bob quickly offers a flustered Bernice a top-up of wine.
Carried away by their flirtation and the chemistry that seems to be growing between them, Bernice leans in for a drunken kiss with Bob, only to be left mortified after he rejects her.
Sweaty and guilt-ridden Bob flees the room, horrified at the near-miss incident with Bernice and worried about what the consequences may be for his romance with Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) - particularly as she has previously accused the business partners of an affair.

The next day, Bob and Bernice both awkwardly avoid any mention of their near-kiss. Instead, Bernice advises Bob that he needs to show Wendy just how much he cares about their relationship.
Unfortunately for Bob, what he doesn't know is that Wendy is facing temptation of her own in the form of Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).
After Wendy discovers that Liam has been writing murder mystery novels under a pseudonym, she gets involved in his secret sideline and even throws him a celebration to acknowledge his nomination for a writing award.

When Liam's alter-ego scoops the prize, he and Wendy share a passionate embrace - and they later give into temptation again at the doctors surgery, despite Wendy's guilt over cheating on Bob.
With both Bob and Wendy experiencing romantic sparks with their colleagues, is their relationship doomed?
Bob actor Tony Audenshaw has previously teased the possibility of a romance between his character and Bernice, saying: "You never know, do you? You never know what's going to happen with these relationships, if there is a spark."

Emmerdale executive producer Jane Hudson, meanwhile, has spoken to Digital Spy and other press about the latest twist in Liam's love life, saying: "It starts off as quite a fun story but at the heart of it there is something serious, which will come out further down the line.
"But it's a great story. We'll see Liam and another character in a way we've perhaps not seen them before, so I can't wait for you to watch that."
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
