Emmerdale's Caleb to betray the Dingles in shock story twist

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale's Caleb Miligan looks set to betray his own family as he continues his quest to seek revenge on Kim Tate and take over Home Farm.

In upcoming scenes, Caleb gets caught up in an altercation between his brother Cain Dingle and Will Taylor.

Will, who has grown tired of Cain's recent behaviour, decides to confront him at the garage. However, he's forced to apologise to Cain after a misunderstanding.

The uneasy truce doesn't last long when Cain can't resist passing comment on Kim, causing Will to throw a punch. Caleb and Jimmy King are forced to talk down the two men before things get out of hand.

Later, after having words with Cain and putting him on his final warning, Kim also begins to have reservations about Caleb and wonders where his loyalties truly lie.

Kim's doubts about Caleb are proven right when he messes up the land purchase for the stud farm. Caleb's mistake costs him dearly as Kim decides to end their partnership.

Caleb discovers that Cain and Moira's farm borders with Home Farm and comes up with a plot to win Kim around. When Kim learns what Caleb has planned, she's intrigued by just how far he's prepared to go.

With Home Farm in his sights, is Caleb really willing to betray his own family to get it?

Emmerdale's executive producer Jane Hudson recently discussed Caleb's betrayal and the impact it will have on his relationship with Cain, when speaking to Digital Spy at a press event. She explained: "How is Cain going to react when Caleb nearly sends Moira into financial ruin, which is a whole other story that's playing?

"When Cain finds out that his brother is responsible, how on earth is that going to play out when these brothers are working so hard to try and have some sort of relationship? Is it all about to be doomed?"

Last month, Emmerdale finally revealed Caleb's hidden agenda and the reasons behind his desire to take over Home Farm.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
