Emmerdale's Claudette Anderson confronted after upsetting Matty Barton

Emmerdale’s Claudette Anderson is set to be confronted following her upsetting comments to Matty Barton.
In scenes that will air tomorrow (March 28), Matty and fiancé Amy Wyatt look for a venue for their upcoming wedding and decide to have the ceremony at the Village Hall.
However, Claudette finds out that Matty is trans and reacts negatively. Her prejudicial views lead her to ban Matty and Amy from having the wedding at the venue as a result, as the hall is Church property.

While Suzy Merton attempts to find an alternative wedding venue, Matty is hurt by the discrimination he's faced and explains that he wants to experience his wedding day as himself rather than a trans role model.
He consequently decides that he wants to have a scaled-down ceremony, and Amy tries not to look disappointed by this news.
In next week’s episodes, Claudette sheepishly confesses to grandson Ethan what she said to Matty, who is understandably horrified.

By reminding her that the most important teaching of Christianity is to love one other, Ethan helps Claudette to realise that she owes Matty an apology.
Meanwhile, Matty’s mum Moira is sure to make her feelings clear about Claudette’s attempt to ruin her son’s wedding plans.
Claudette is uneasy at the damage her words have caused in this situation and decides to make a heartfelt apology to Matty – who finds it in his heart to forgive her.

Later in the week, bride-to-be Amy has her hen do ahead of the upcoming wedding, with the date set for April.
However, Victoria Sugden is irked when Amy’s mum Kerry brings out some naked butlers she’s hired for the occasion, with the night starting to look like the Kerry show.
Matty also has his stag do, where he gets emotional. Will the final wedding preparations go off without a hitch?
