Emmerdale's Laurel Thomas and Jai Sharma to clash after Rishi's death
Laurel Thomas and Jai Sharma are set to clash in the aftermath of Rishi's death on Emmerdale.
The character made his final appearance on the soap last week on the day of Jai's wedding to Laurel, as fans were shown he had died at home with his body at the bottom of the stairs.
In new follow-on scenes airing next week, emotions are set to run high in the aftermath of Rishi's death as Laurel and Jai prepare to leave for India to attend his funeral, though their plans are jeopardised by a distraught Archie.

Laurel reveals Archie's illness, leading to chaos as Jai explodes in anger, and the house quickly becomes a battlefield. Laurel fails in her attempts to calm her husband, which leaves Jai more upset.
Jai soon embarks on his trip to India alone, while Laurel feels guilt at home and receives a warning from Suni. However, Laurel is determined to support Jai, and decides to join him in India after all – though her upcoming kidnapping ordeal stands in her way.
The shocking scenes will see Laurel held captive by Marshall Hamston's father Colin following a trip to the local councillor's home.

Meanwhile, following his exit as Rishi, actor Bhasker Patel said in a statement: "Thanks for watching Rishi over the years. I feel privileged to have been part of the show for 12 years.
"I have loved it and will miss it enormously, especially my friends and working in the beautiful village of Emmerdale. Thank you for watching. Stay safe, Bhasker."
