Emmerdale's Matthew Wolfenden calls out affair reports following Charley Webb split
Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden has hit out at reports claiming he had an affair ahead of his recent split from Charley Webb.
Last month, Matthew and fellow Emmerdale star Charley announced their separation after five years of marriage.
However, following a report alleging that Matthew started seeing somebody new before his split from Charley was publicly announced, the actor has responded by branding the claims a "lie".

"Just to set the record straight… this (so called) reporting by the Daily Mail is an out and out LIE!" he wrote in his Instagram Stories.
"Can you leave us alone now? And shame on anybody who believes anything that these red tops report!" he added, before sharing in a follow-up post that he was "glad to get that off [his] chest".
In their original separation statement shared on both their accounts, Charley and Matthew told followers: "It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate.
"We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children. For their sake we would appreciate privacy at this time."

The couple, who first met on Emmerdale 17 years ago, share three children – Buster, aged 13, Bowie, aged 7, and Ace, aged 4.
Matthew recently departed from the soap as David Metcalfe, the actor explaining it felt "like the right time" to say goodbye to the Dales.
"I'm so nervous about leaving, [after] almost two decades," he said on This Morning. "It feels like the right time. The door's left open, they're not killing me off, I've been promised. I'm allowed to tell you that. So who knows, I might be back. We will see."
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
