Emmerdale's Rhona Goskirk to face further backlash from April

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale's Rhona Goskirk will face further backlash from stepdaughter April following baby Ivy's kidnap.

Fans of the soap will know that Rhona's ex-husband Gus Malcolms used Rhona's embryos without permission to start a family with his new wife Lucy.

After Lucy died during childbirth, Gus left the newborn baby with Rhona and her husband Marlon Dingle as he processed his grief.

When Gus recently revealed his plans to move to France with Ivy, Rhona decided to kidnap the baby and flee the village, something April has already chastised Rhona for. Rhona was later arrested after Gus called the police.

Both Rhona and Gus were taken into custody pending an investigation and baby Ivy was placed in the care of social services. At the police station, Rhona was told she was being charged with the offence of kidnap.

In scenes set to air on Thursday, February 22, Rhona will face further backlash from her children in the aftermath of the kidnap drama.

Marlon receives a shocking call from the school and he and Paddy head there to pick up Leo, who has been in a fight.

Later, after collecting Leo from school, Paddy and Marlon blame Leo’s outburst on Rhona’s preoccupation with Ivy.

Marlon and Rhona are defeated when Leo tells them he would rather spend time with Paddy than them.

When April arrives home she isn't happy either and gives Rhona a piece of her mind, telling her off for the second time for prioritising Ivy and abandoning them when she fled the village.

Speaking recently about her actions, Rhona actress Zoe Henry told This Morning: "I do get this, I'm not saying I would do it... running off with the baby, but I kind of get it. It's that kind of primal panic of 'this is my child and you're going to take her to France and I'm never going to see her again', so something kicks in."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
