Emmerdale's Rhona makes life-changing discovery in baby storyline
Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale's Rhona Goskirk makes a shocking discovery that will change her life in upcoming scenes, as the soap's new baby storyline continues.
The seeds of Rhona's new plot were first sown in the spring, when her ex-husband Gus unexpectedly showed up in the village and asked Rhona if he and his wife, Lucy, could use one of the frozen embryos that he and Rhona stored when they were together, so that they could have a baby.
Although Rhona gave the idea some thought, she ultimately decided against allowing this – but viewers suspected that this wasn't the end of the story after Gus appeared to steal Rhona's passport.

In new scenes next week, Rhona discovers the extent of Gus' shock betrayal after a confession from her husband, Marlon Dingle.
Marlon has been struggling to keep a secret that he has discovered and he ends up blurting out to a shocked Rhona that he saw Gus at the hospital with a pregnant Lucy, following their fraudulent claiming of Rhona's embryos. Rhona struggles to process the unexpected news.
The next day, still in shock, Rhona consults Ethan Anderson for some legal advice, and Ethan makes it clear that she could be in for an arduous battle with Gus and Lucy.

Marlon and Rhona's mum, Mary Goskirk, convince Rhona that she should speak to Gus, and she arranges to meet him the next day.
When Gus fails to show up, Rhona decides to stake out his house, and she's aghast when she witnesses him trying to escape, armed with suitcases.
Rhona rushes over to confront Gus, but she is left in turmoil when a heavily pregnant Lucy emerges from the house.

Emmerdale's executive producer Jane Hudson confirmed in April that Rhona and Gus' storyline wasn't over following his departure, as she told Digital Spy and other media that there was "a long way to go" with the plot.
"We always want to find the next big story and I think this is Rhona's next big story," she teased. "It's going to be one that really captures the viewers."
