Emmy Parties And Celebrations: Getting Festive With HBO, Netflix, Disney And More

After months of waiting, TV’s best and brightest get to hit the red carpet and attend the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards. The event takes place at the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live, and many of the afterparties will be in close proximity. There are also plenty of celebrations around town before the big event.

The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on Monday, January 15. The three-hour telecast, expanding Fox’s two-hour primetime, will air live live coast-to-coast at 8-11 p.m. ET.

FRIDAY

Jesse Armstrong will be hosting a small, intimate celebration in honor of Succession. It’s a private event, and those invited will be related to the series in some capacity. It’s taking place from 5-8 p.m at Spago.

SATURDAY

And if you can’t wait, the Evening Before bash benefitting the Motion Picture Television Fund takes place Saturday evening. The event is chaired by Quinta Brunson and Bob Odenkirk. Among the sponsors is Deadline’s parent company PMC.

The annual BAFTA Tea Party will take place at The Maybourne Beverly Hills from 2 p.m.-5 p.m.

SUNDAY

AMC is putting on a Better Call Saul Emmy Awards Brunch from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Lavo.

MONDAY

All these events begin at 8 p.m.

The Television Academy will host the Governors Awards afterparty at the Convention Center adjacent to the Peacock Theater.

Netflix’s bash kicks off immediately following the show at Ristorante Per L’Ora just a few blocks away.

The Disney festivities will be a bit farther away at Otium, appropriately, just down the street from the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Across town, HBO will be holding court at the San Vicente Bungalows. The network leads the field with 127 nominations this year, including 27 for Succession, so it’s a good bet there’ll be winners in attendance.

Apple TV+ is putting on an event at Mother Wolf in Hollywood for the creators and cast of Ted Lasso, Shrinking, Bad Sisters, Black Bird, For all Mankind and more.
