While the final whistle sparked joy in the Slovenian ranks, who have moved to the knockout round for the first time, many England fans at the screening venue left before the end and showed their frustration by booing the players.
England had already qualified for the round of 16 and, despite another flat performance, the draw saw them take first place in the group on five points.
Manager Gareth Southgate faced heavy criticism following a dismal showing by his team, both tonight and last Thursday (June 20) when the team drew 1-1 with Denmark.
