Eric Benét and Tamar Braxton Premiere Sexy Summer Single 'Something We Can Make Love To' (Exclusive)

Eric Benét and Tamar Braxton are heating up the summer with a sexy new single.

PEOPLE has an exclusive look at the music video for the duo's collaboration "Something We Can Make Love To," which serves as the first single off Benét's upcoming album.

The video begins with Braxton wearing black lingerie in bed as Benét sings, " I don't know if he knows what to do when you finally decide to get loose / Those moments they come far and few / In between / I don't mind If I gotta be the guy that comes to the front of your mind."

As the song continues, the walls behind him flash bright blues, pinks, and reds, and he and Braxton are seen passionately embracing in bed together.

Benét, 57, tells PEOPLE that the smooth, slow jam is something that's been "a long time in the making."

"Tamar has been a dear friend of mine for a while and we’ve discussed getting into the studio for years. The wait was well worth it! Shooting the video was so much fun. I think that people will really enjoy the song and the visuals," he says.

Braxton, 47, tells PEOPLE in an exclusive statement that the collaboration was "such a fun process."

"Eric and I always thought we would make something great together, and we did exactly that on 'Something We Can Make Love To!' Being able to collab with him was such a fun process. You can really see all our hard work pay off in both the song and video," she says.

The singer, whose last album was his self-titled project in 2016, also shared his excitement on Instagram by giving a glimpse at his single release party.
