SINGAPORE — The Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates will increase by $1 at eight locations across 19 periods, staggered across later this month and in June, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said on Friday (20 May).
“Based on LTA’s monitoring of traffic conditions in April and May 2022, traffic has built up at various stretches of expressways with the phased easing of workplace restrictions from 29 March.”
The 19 periods across eight locations have been identified for ERP rate increases as speeds during these periods have fallen below the “optimal speed range”, LTA said.
In view of the upcoming school holidays, ERP rates for six periods across three locations will increase by $1 only after the school holidays from 27 June.
For the other 13 periods across seven locations where low speeds could persist throughout the June school holidays, ERP rates will increase by $1 from 30 May.
Meanwhile, ERP rates at 14 other periods across five locations will decrease by $1 during the June school holiday period from 30 May, and will revert to the pre-school holiday charges from 27 June.
